Okay, ladies... I need your help. My swimsuit is too small. I was going to wait until closer to summer to get a new one, but I don't think I'm going to go down THAT much in size in a month! If I do, then, woo hoo! I'll exchange it. I think that I'm going to just order one from Victoria's Secret because it will be a lot less hassle than shopping for one. You know how much fun that is! I need your help...

Hello!
Hello!  I'm new to this community.  I live in Puget Sound, WA and have recommitted myself to Weight Watchers just recently.  I'm here for the long haul - to lose 152lbs.  So glad that there is support on the web like this.  :-)

More Excercise = More Activity Points = More Good Food
Looking for a new fitness program? How about trying the Presidential Fitness Challenge. This challenge comes in three varieties:

1. The Active Lifestyle Program - For those of you who aren't active on a daily basis yet, this is a great way to begin. The rules are basically to get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week, for a total of 6 weeks.

2. The Presidential Champions Program - If you're already active and want a new challenge, this program is for you. Your goal is to see how many points you can earn by staying active. Points are based on the amount of energy each activity burns. So the more active you are, the more points you'll get. When you reach 20,000 points, you'll earn a Bronze award. Then you can continue on in the Presidential Champions program for a Silver or Gold award.

3. The Advanced Performance Presidential Champions Program - This is basically the same system as the Presidential Champions Program, except that the award goals are higher. For instance, you need to get 40,000 points to earn a Bronze award.

The Presidential Champions Fitness Program Website (where you can log your progress and also order your awards when you've reached your goal)

Also, if you want, come join the LJ pres_challenge community to chat with others who are challenging themselves with this program.

Hello, my name is Melissa. I'm 22 and I just decided today that I am going to start watching my weight and really try to lose weight. My short team goal is 20lbs. ( I could def use to lose more, but I want to have a realistic goal to beginning with). I can't afford to attend meetings, so I bought the book that gives points for all your food. I wanted to know if anyone could give me some pointers. Any advice? I plan on going to the gym and doing some sort of exercise program.

I do have a question to begin with, What's the limit on how many points you use up a day?

Thanks ahead for any advice anyone wants to give =). Thank you!!

Hi all

I'm new here so thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Faye, I'm 29 from North Yorkshire (UK).

I'm a bit of a yo-yo dieter and am a lifetime member at Weight Watchers. After going back on and off, I went back for good around 4 weeks ago and have lost 6½lb so far. My goal is to lose another 79lb by next Summer (it's my sisters wedding next August and I'm bridesmaid). I'm counting points and am currently on 25 per day.

I guess I wanted to find some support here on LJ by people who can relate to having good and bad weeks. Many of my friends don't seem to understand the term "a bad week", though my boyfriend is really supportive of me.

Anyways, just wanted to say hey.

Looking for buddies :)
Hey everyone!

I'm Ashley. Some of you may already know me. I'm looking for some new LJ friends for my weightloss journal! :D

I am 20 years old from London, ON, Canada. I'm a full time student in the social services field, and I also work part time.

I am currently trying to lose about 20 lbs by summer. My long-term goal is to lose about 50 lbs. Right now I am a size 12 and weigh 180 lbs. I'm 5'6" tall.

I've been trying to make it to the gym at least 3 times a week, and am following the Weight Watchers online program. Every now and then I count calories instead of WW. I kinda of fluctuate between both. It's worked for me.

I've previously lost 30 lbs (last year) but have gained 20 lbs of it back. I'm looking for new friends who can help motivate me and get me back on track so I can lose these 20 lbs and then some!

Please add me if you're interested in being buddies and I'll add you right back! Thanks! :D

I'm new and need help!!!
So I just joined weight watchers on 02/01/06!

I officially started tracking my points on Monday. I have some questions:

1.) I drink 2 liters of water or more during the day so my daily water is covered right?

2.) How do I count activity points? For instance I do 90 mins of intense yoga how many activity points is that? Or I do 60 mins of water aerobics how many activity points is that? Or 60 mins of pilates.... etc etc

3.) What is my weekly points allowance, how do I use that?

4.) Is it bad if I don't eat all my points per day?

I know I have more questions but this is all I can think of for now. Thank you so much for helping me I really really appreciate it!!!

Hi I'm Jessie
I joined weight watchers last week and am doing the FLEX plan. I had weigh in this week and I lost 2.2lbs. So far I'm excited about the plan and it's working well for me.

ONLY PROBLEM IS.....
I cannot find how many points "hamburger" is.
My husband grilled hamburgers and I went to look it up and I cannot find it anywhere and it's driving me nuts!

I checked: beef, hamburgers, burgers..
found nothing.

Does anyone know how may points it is?

Chipotle Points
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get nutrition info for food at Chipotle? The clerk didn't know. I'm interested in knowing how many points a burrito bowl would have with chicken and no sour cream.
Thanks.

Newbie!
Hello Everyone!
I'm psyched! I just got back home from my first Weight Watchers meeting!
I'm ready to start the new year ... and new me .. on a good foot!

A little about me:
26 years old. 5'9" and I weigh the most now than I ever have: 192.5 lbs.
I've been battling depression for a while now, and am on a couple medications. I also have hypothyroid, for which i'm on medication. I hate being on so many pills!
I want to be healthy again, and feel good about myself. I finally decided enough is enough. I looked up WW meetings online, and went to one.
And i'm so motivated now!!!

and i have a goal: 6-27-04 I am getting married! i want to wear a bikini on our honeymoon!!!
so let's see, i'd like to be down to about 150 lbs by then. six months and 42 lbs.
I think i can do it!!!

I'd love to hear feed back from other new/seasoned WW members ... especially vegetarians!!!

(I have cross posted this to all the new communities I've joined for support!)

Current Mood: excited

Maybe someone could help me, please?
I'm 17 years old and I am starting [today] to lose 9 pounds by 1/16/03 (this might be impossible)..

Anyways, I'm right now 128 and I want to be 119. My height is 5'0".

Because of lack of money and lack of age (it says you have to be 18 to be on weight watchers).. I'm going to be doing the point thing by myself.

I was wondering if anyone knows how much points I should start out with? 25?

Thank you.

(by the way, this was x-posted pretty much everywhere.)

ATTN ALL WEIGHT WATCHER MEMBERS!!!
I work for weight watchers now. A meeting that I work at a member is allergice to corn & all beans. There is a corn sweetner that she is allergic to as well. She can't have pop corn, any time of beans. She had a question. What can she do to replace beans & corn. Could you guys give me suggestions that I could give her. She is doing good on her weight loss but I am sure its got to be frustrating for her.
THANK YOU ALL!!
